Open Committee Positions – Invitation to Serve
The Longoria Cemetery Restoration Committee is currently seeking volunteers to fill several open positions as we formalize our preservation and maintenance efforts.
We are looking for individuals willing to assist in the following areas:
- Grounds & Maintenance Coordination – Organizing cleanup days and overseeing routine upkeep
- Fundraising & Donations – Managing contributions and developing sustainable funding strategies
- Historical & Records Research – Documenting interments and preserving family history
- Communications & Outreach – Coordinating updates, volunteer recruitment, and descendant engagement
If you have a connection to the Longoria lineage—or simply value Rio Grande Valley history—your participation is both welcomed and needed. This effort will only succeed through shared responsibility and steady commitment.
Those interested in serving are encouraged to step forward.
Preservation is not accomplished by intention alone—it requires leadership and action.
