Open Committee Positions – Invitation to Serve
The Longoria Cemetery Restoration Committee is currently seeking volunteers to fill several open positions as we formalize our preservation and maintenance efforts.
We are looking for individuals willing to assist in the following areas:
If you have a connection to the Longoria lineage—or simply value Rio Grande Valley history—your participation is both welcomed and needed. This effort will only succeed through shared responsibility and steady commitment.
Those interested in serving are encouraged to step forward.
Preservation is not accomplished by intention alone—it requires leadership and action.

Committee Coordinators
The Committee Coordinators are responsible for organizing, guiding, and ensuring the effective operation of the committee.

A Committee Treasurer is responsible for overseeing the committee’s financial management and ensuring funds are handled accurately and transparently.

A Committee Secretary is responsible for maintaining accurate records and supporting the administrative function of the committee.

A Committee Correspondence Secretary is responsible for managing the committee’s incoming and outgoing communications such as email blasts, newsletters, etc..

A Committee Historian is responsible for identifying, collecting and preserving the official history and legacy of the cemetery and those interred therin..

A Committee Events Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing committee-sponsored events.

A Committee Grounds Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance crews, safety, and appearance of the Cemetery grounds. Coordinates Work Party events.
